Born and raised in Tucker, GA. Enlisted in US Navy Nuclear Propulsion Program at 18. Qualified as Electricians Mate Nuclear Propulsion Operator in 1982. Served aboard USS Woodrow Wilson (SSBN-624), USS Daniel Boone (SSBN 629), USS Batfish (SSN-681), and USS Maryland (SSBN-738) in addition to instructor duty at various training commands. Retired as Electrician’s Mate Chief Petty Officer (E-7) with 21 years of service.
Relocated to North Fulton County in 2002, with his wife Linda, after service retirement. He is a self-employed Electrical Contractor focusing on commercial service work. He has been a resident of Johns Creek, GA since its incorporation in 2006. Joined the JCVA in March of 2015.
Grant served in the United States Marine Corps Reserves on the Delayed Enlistment Program and went in immediately after college in 1986.
In 1990 after I married my wife Linda I was call to active duty in support of operation Desert Shield, which became Desert Storm or later referred to as the Gulf War. I trained troops on the M60 Machine Gun in the desert of California. When troops began returning home I was released from active duty in 1991 and returned home to my wife and our new home.
I have two boys Christian and Jonny and we have lived in what is now Johns Creek since 1999.
Jim Robinson is a Georgia native who served in the USAF from 1965 to 1969.
His field of expertise while in the service was Automatic Tracking Radar operations and repair. Jim graduated from Ga. State University and is retired from the insurance industry now living in Johns Creek.
